This is the "Demo" version of "Songs for Boats", released as a CDr that accompanied the limited UK release of the LP in 2009. Recorded in Madrid around New Year's of 2008-2009 in a tiny apartment with just a 3/4 size nylon string guitar and some household items (bottles, the sink, a bedspread). This recording captures these songs in their earliest and most stripped down forms.

Demo version of the "Songs for Boats" album recorded in Madrid, Spain during the last week of December 2008 and the first week of January 2009. Includes some songs that would not be included in the final version of the album and more sparse arrangements, centered around a 3/4 scale classical guitar and water sounds made within a tiny apartment with bedsheets and the bathroom sink. This release accompanied the MIE UK release of "Songs for Babes" and was limited to 50 copies (CDr in recycled envelope with insert and color boat drawing.

It may not be a full-fledged LP, but All Delighted People is probably my favourite of Sufjan's works. Without an overaching album theme to tie the songs together, it felt like Sufjan was free to experiment on each track and give them their own unique sound.
