"The MIDI Pillow" was conceived and composed as a "Music to fall asleep to" record, although it's physical release never occurred. The album's sound and flow were researched and mapped to hold the listener at the edge of sleep for as long as possible - the interesting time where active thoughts blend into dreams.

All sounds by MT, recorded at home Jan-March 2011 in Chicago.

The record is based upon a series of acoustic guitar figures, played repetitively to induce sleep. These melodies and progressions were then disassembled and processed -primarily with ppooll. The source sounds are 90% acoustic with some flourishes and binaural beats produced with a Nord Modular.
